Well I'm still here Smile

although I don't program in DarkGDK at the moment (that was a hobby while I was at school and now I'm at university I use other engines such OpenGL and don't have time for DarkGDK just now) I can still offer help to people that need it. (and other members will help as well)

enjoy your time here Very Happy

Do you think I should continue with Dark GDK or switch to OpenGL

difficult question to answer but if you want to create 2D and 3D games quickly then use DarkGDK because it's a LOT simpler and cuts out a lot of complicated parts of openGL, but openGL is more powerful, more difficult to use but you'll learn more about programming using it. So you'll have to decide for yourself, but my recommendation is to use DarkGDK for a while then move onto openGL when you're comfortable with DarkGDK.

probably once you've got comfortable with all the c++ basics and creating 3D games in DarkGDK. Like once you've for example, made a complete version of 3D pong by yourself.
