FPS project - need urgent help Empty FPS project - need urgent help

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I was wondering if any of you could help me with my grade project.

I want to create an FPS game for my personal project this year and because I am quite new to programming I don't really know where to start. Can anyone help me with a step-by-step guide on how to create a short game (1-2 levels maximum) in a short amount of time? Besides that, some advice on other softwares that might be useful will be greatly appreciated.
